FAQ
What is hydroseeding?
Hydroseeding is a fast and effective way to establish new grass using a mixture of seed, mulch, fertilizer and water that is evenly sprayed over prepared soil.
Is hydroseeding more affordable than sod?
Hydroseeding is generally more cost-effective than sod, especially for larger areas, while still providing even coverage and strong, healthy grass growth.
How long does hydroseed take to grow?
You may begin to see new grass within 7–14 days, depending on the seed mixture, weather, soil conditions and how consistently the area is watered.
How do I get a quote?
Simply contact True North Hydroseeding with your project location, approximate area and a few details about your property. Photos can also be helpful when providing an accurate quote.
When is the best time to hydroseed?
Spring and early fall typically provide excellent growing conditions, but hydroseeding can be successful throughout the growing season with proper watering and care.
How often should I water my new hydroseed?
Newly hydroseeded areas need to stay consistently moist while the seed germinates. Frequent, light watering is typically recommended at first, with watering adjusted as the lawn becomes established.
